Donor Guidance

All donations to the Independent Expenditure Committee (IEC) will be reported to the Colorado Secretary of State’s TRACER reporting system by the IEC’s attorney. To ensure compliance with Colorado campaign finance laws, donors must provide the following information based on the donation amount:

Donations Over $20

The donor must provide their name and address.

Donations Over $250

Individual (Natural Person)

The donor must provide their name, address, occupation, and employer.

Entity (Not a Natural Person)

In addition to the name, address, occupation, and employer, the donor must provide:

• The full name of the entity, or, if a subsidiary, the full name of the parent corporation, spelling out any acronyms.
• All names under which the entity does business in Colorado, if different from the name provided above.
• The address of the entity’s home office, or, if a subsidiary, the home office of the parent corporation.
• The name and street address in Colorado of the entity’s registered agent.
